Let us introduce ourselves:
We are a motion picture Production team that focuses on narrative short- and feature-length films.
We have gathered lots of experiences in the swiss Independent and professional Industries. Since 2020 we work together to create short films, meanwhile we work on our first feature-length-film.

WHY I HATE TIME TRAVEL
Well it’s obvious, because timetravel in film is a huge pain to accomplish. Let me tell you the story of how we made that story into a picture:
Towards the end of 2021, Timothy found the story of Why I Hate Time Travel on the Reddit Film Project, which collects short film ideas and brings them to reality.
After Timothy got hooked about the idea to make a film about timetravel, he quickly realised that this project will not be possible without some funds. So together with his Co-Producer Alessio and their Actress Leoni, they reached out to Kulturdünger for a possible funding.
This request was promptly fulfilled by Kulturdünger and thus the final planning could be done and the film would start shooting over Eastern in 2022.
In a long first day, the team of five emptied out an old shed and completely built the set interior from scratch out of old collected items, as well as things laying around.
On the following two days, they captured all neccessary material, resulting in 2.5 hours of footage spread across 76 takes.
It was only possible to keep the number of takes low, because beforehand the entire film already got shot and edited to create a reference audio track, to which Leoni would react.
This allowed the team to nail timings, which was made even easier by Leoni citing her lines like fed from a computer.
After wrapping, since the entire film essentially already was cut through the prerecording, no actual editing besides take selection had to be done. This did not mean though that post production became easy.
All selected takes had to be composited together, which was made harder through the actress walking behind herself multiple times, as well as the room being filled with moving haze.
Eventually though, the film got completed and premiered at the Kulturdünger Filmnight in Aarau on the 2nd December 2022.

Who is Faultea?
We’re Timothy and Alessio, two young ambitious filmmakers from Switzerland.
Due to our passion for film, Tim from Aarau and Alessio from St.Gallen both started making our first works at a young age. Not only to learn this craft and improve ourselves, but also to understand the industry we were trying to get into.
In 2020 we met for the first time on a shoot for an independent student short film. Since then we have worked together closely to accomplish our goal of making great motion pictures at low costs.
Today we work independently for national commercials and international films for cinema, TV and streaming in camera, lighting, production and directing departments while improving our own work under the name Faultea.
